The dramatic story of the California Condor–it’s near extinction and its recovery from the brink will be the topic of the Whittier Area Audubon’s general meeting on Thursday, October 18, 2018 Light refreshments will be served. Vic Leipzig will make the presentation. He is a past-president of Sea and Sage Audubon and representative to the Board of Audubon California for the southern California chapters. He teaches birding classes for the adult education program of Saddleback College.

The Whittier Area Audubon general meeting and program will be held on at the Whittier Community Center, 7630 Washington Ave., Whittier, CA. 90602. The Community Center is located on the corner of Mar Vista St. and Washington Ave. (not to be confused with Washington Blvd.), across the street from the Whittier Public Library main branch next to a softball field. Parking is free.

The program is free and light refreshments will be served.
