Whittier Area Audubon Society

Everyone is welcome to join us for our birding outings and general meetings and programs.  You do not have to be a member to join us and learn about birds and the great outdoors.

Activities

The second Saturday of the month we take a beginner bird walk in Whittier’s own lovely Sycamore Canyon preserve.  It’s a great way to learn about the birds in our area.

Interesting and informative speakers share their knowledge about birds, bird watching, and conservation of bird areas, the third Thursday of each month.

We take a monthly excursion to a nearby birding area on the Saturday after the third Thursday. September through June. Everyone is welcome to join us. We meet at the Whittier Community Center around 7:00am depending on our destination. Bring a lunch, water, birding equipment, and comfortable clothing for being out in the elements for the whole day!
