Tim and Lloyd Bulmer were long-time members of Whittier Area Audubon and as a way of memorializing their involvement we set aside the December field trip as a walk in their honor. Our traditional December field trip as been a bird walk around the Whittier Narrows Nature Center and its environs. 

With the restrictions on group outings as they now stand, the Nature Center is not allowing non-family groups to have outings. A suggestion has been made to visit Legg Lake. Legg Lake is known as a good place for winter visitors. 

Athough we can’t plan group field trips at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are making recommendations for great birding spots on the day that would have been our regular field trip. We encourage you to get out and enjoy birding!
