February Program: Exploring Panama with Mac Walter

Birds, Mammals, and Reptiles of Panama will be the illustrated program presented by photographer, Mac Walter. Walter will show photos taken during a 21-day, three week, trip with his wife, Kathy, to three canopy lodges in Panama. "Canopy" lodges are lodging where one is eye-level with birds situated high up in the trees. Birds, mammals and reptiles will be featured. He will also talk about seeing the Harpy Eagle and the Crested Eagle. The Canopy Camps they visited were: Canopy Tower, near the center of the Country near the Panama Canal; Canopy Camp, which was Southeast near the Darien; and Canopy Lodge, the main camp, which was set in a higher elevation northwest of the Panama Canal.

Mac and his wife Kathy are close friends of Larry and Jennifer Schmahl with whom they have traveled on several occasions including a recent trip to Trinidad and Tobago. Mac was our presenter in December. We look forward to seeing you at this event.

This will be a virtual event in Google Meet. Please RSVP here to receive the link to the meeting.
